Course Description
Panel Data Analysis using Stata This two-day applied panel data workshop covers basic static panel data estimations and dynamic panel data models that are useful in economics, finance, and business areas. The first day of the course begins with an introduction to the nature of panel data, and covers the classical panel data model estimations, as well as the correlated random-effect model and hybrid model. On day 2, the course embraces topics on dynamic panel data model estimation, focusing on the Generalized Method of Moment estimates. Concepts are extensively illustrated using exercises and examples worked in Stata.
- Overview of Panel Data Structure and Panel Data Models
- Issues on Panel data models: heterogeneity, autocorrelation, cross-sectional dependence, and endogeneity
- Statics Panel Data Models Estimation: Pooled OLS, Fixed Effect Model (FEM), Random Effect Model (REM), correlated random effect model (CRE) and Hybrid model
- ENTREPRENEURSHIP &INNOVATION - a fuel to socio-economic development
